During the Chinese Lunar New Year activities, 33 students from
the Rong Hong Elementary School were invited to a workshop
held by Chien Kun. The students were mostly from immigrant
Chinese families. During the workshop the children enjoyed
discussions about Lunar New Year customs, the practice of
Chinese calligraphy, and traditional New Year refreshments,
topped off with "year-of-the-dog" face-painting.
33 Children Celebrate Chinese Culture
乾坤在紐約中國城舉行的新春活動期間，邀請了華埠
容閎小學的三十三位同學前來聚會，他們大都是來自
華裔家庭。年輕的ABC，他們滿口英語，對中國的傳
統文化亦無多少認識。會上大家講說新年風俗，學寫
中文書法，吃頓新春茶點，最後更畫上狗年大花臉，
相信在他們的童年歲月中，已留下了特別的印記。
