5 stars because there is nothing I
can think of that I would change
about this place.
My fiance Kevin and I came on an
early Saturday evening. Our
waitress was pleasant & mellow.
Kevin ordered a vegetable / seitan
stir-fry. Very good. I got a tofu /
vegetable stir-fry. Very good as well
but I think I liked Kevin's a teeny bit
more. My tofu was flaky, like it was
home-made. I hadn't seen it like
that. It was like a tofu version of
phyllo dough (used in spinach pies).
This is our new favorite place. And it
is just a few blocks away from us.
Bonus: no onions, no garlic which I
find overpowers food. Every other
vegetarian restaurant seems to add
it to every single one of their dishes.
So this is absolutely delightful not to
have to pick out minutely-chopped
pieces of onion for 10 minutes
before getting to eat.

yummy yummy food. This place is
great!
I have been vegetarian for a long
time and Tein Garden is not your
typical veggie or chinese resturant.
The food here is not just good for
you it is also very tasty, a nice treat
and Mom would definitely approve.
Apparently they have redone the
menu and have a new option where
you can pick your own ingredients
and they cook it for you. It was
great, the waiter gave me a few
suggestions and I got exactly what I
wanted. It is small and kind of
tucked away a mid all the other
resturants around there, but it is
definitely worth the walk from the
L-train!!! :)
